Since 2011 Lucy lectures at the world renowned London College of Fashion (LCF) in central London and online for them. 

Lucy graduated from the prestigious Central St Martin's College of Art London in 1988 with a Masters in Fashion Design. She had completed her B.A. Honours degree in Fashion and Textiles previously at Ravensbourne College of Art.

She was offered a design job at Roberto Cavalli in Florence upon graduation and with Christian Lacroix in Paris as one of his design assistants. Lucy chose Christian and Paris.

Lucy moved to Asia a few years later and worked as design consultant for Jim Thompson house in Thailand.

She took on a freelance design roles with ‘Next’, ‘Puma’ and ‘GUS UK’ in Hong Kong, gaining valuable experience and insight with both mass retailers and manufacturers.

Lucy began her Haute Couture fashion label ‘Lucy P’ in the late 80s, which she still has to date. She offers private design for special occasion wear, including wedding dresses.

She began her childrenswear label ‘Lucie and Oscar’ with a business partner in 1997. Lucy was in charge of developing the brand, all of the design, the manufacture and the retail side of the business.

The brand had 10 retail outlets throughout the Asia region. ‘Lucie and Oscar’ also sold very successfully through their own brochures and online website. They had stand alone stores in Singapore, Shanghai and Sydney. L+O was also sold in concession areas in department stores in Malaysia, Indonesia, Hong Kong and Singapore.

In 2006 Lucy and a business partner began ‘Lucy P - Clothes that Pose’, an up market designer yoga wear range sold throughout the UK. The Brand also sold as luxury sportswear, travel and spa wear. Lucy developed the Brand and ran all aspects of the design and manufacturing.
